Our clients often come to America with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They have left everything they own in their home country where they fled for their lives out of fear. Thanks to Assistance League of Austin, our clients are able to leave our offices with clothes, linens and other toiletries. Twice a month, CST is able to pick up generous donations from the Assistance League Thrift House. At our office, we sort the goods and hang the clothes so our clients are able to “shop” for the items they need at no cost.
When the school year approaches, our school aged clients are able to get clothes and backpacks at Operation School Bell, a flagship program of Assistance League dedicated to helping children in need by providing them with a wardrobe of new school clothing, shoes, toiletries, and backpack with the goal of improving their self-esteem. We are very grateful for the wonderful collaboration with Assistance League of Austin and that’s why they are in our Community Partner Spotlight for September.
