Greetings!
There is something special that happens when you enter Center for Survivors of Torture (CST). I call it hope. It is rare to be associated with an organization that helps such a deserving group of people. I am humbled by my work. Since our beginnings, over 1750 mothers, fathers, and children have been served through our nationally-recognized torture treatment program. CST will continue to broaden its outreach through the expansion of our telehealth services and the children’s program. Yes, CST provides mental health counseling and holistic services for children who are torture survivors and children of torture survivors. Please read more at www.cstnet.org
On behalf of CST’s entire board, staff, and professional volunteers, I wish you a rewarding fall experience and look forward to meeting you at the September 28, 2012 “Open House” at CST Austin, 2:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. and at our “Extraordinary Evening” fundraiser on October 19, 2012, graciously hosted by Dr. Karin Montero.
Best,
Celia VanDeGraaf, Executive Director
